HABIT 1

First Habit: Be Proactive!

Being proactive is very important if you want to maintain your life in a good balance. For being proactive we need to know what PROACTIVE means, acting in anticipation of future problems, needs, or changes. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary.

How to be a proactive person?

Reflection

Being proactive is very simple, you need a good actitud. Also, is important to remember that YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE!! No one can tell you what to do and how to act, be the person you what to be. You choose to be angry, not the person that is with you.

Private Victory

Summery

Private victory is one of the steps the author of 7 habits of highly effective teens recommend. It consist of feeling the change in your life, attitude, etc before you practice other habits. Change your acts to a more active way, not settle, and find solutions.

I personally love one of Sean metaphors he uses to compare reactive and proactive people. We compare reactive people with a soda can, because when you bother them at some point they exploded, just like a soda can, when you shake it and then open it, it explode. But, proactive people are just like water, even when you shake it, it does not explode.
Thinking before you act, this can be very essential in your life, it can save your from big mistakes you could make and even help you with your decisions. Being proactive has also a big part of the language you use, I'll do it, I'll choose to do it, etc. Take responsibilities FOR YOUR SELF, THINK POSITIVE, TAKE INITIATIVE.
